PROJECT:
TAFE: Four Careers Later
CLIENT:
ABOUT
A series for TAFE, produced with PerthIsOK!, following four graduates to see where their qualifications took them. A pastry chef who worked under Heston Blumenthal and now runs her own pastry shops and a coffee supply business. A Tugboat Master working Fremantle Port for Svitzer. An owner of two childcare centres. A site supervisor building some of Perth's most recognisable homes.
APPROACH
Four people, four industries, four completely different sets on one series: a working kitchen, a tug at Fremantle, a childcare centre with kids in it, and a live construction site. Each location has its own access rules and its own rhythm, so we shot each story on its subject's terms and kept the format consistent enough that the four cut together as a set. The through-line is the person, not the institution, and the films sell the training by staying out of its way.
IMPACT
TAFE got four proof points that its qualifications lead somewhere real, told through people rather than course brochures. For us, one series covered a kitchen, a working port, an early-learning environment and a construction site, which is most of our industry pages in a single job. If you want evidence we can move between worlds without the work changing quality, this is it.
Let’s create something worth watching.
