PROJECT:
SCEE: Two Sites, One State
CLIENT:
ABOUT
SCEE delivers electrical and instrumentation work on some of the biggest resources projects in the country, and this photography project covered them at two of them: Rio Tinto's Gudai-Darri iron ore mine in the Pilbara, and the Kemerton lithium precinct near Bunbury. The brief was the same at both, capturing SCEE's people and workmanship on site, in the environments where the company earns its reputation.
PHOTOGRAPHY

APPROACH
Shooting on operating resources sites means the photography fits around the work, never the reverse. Inductions, permits, escorts and exclusion zones shape every frame, and the skill is coming away with images that look considered when the access was anything but casual. We photographed the crews at their tasks, the installed work up close, and the scale of both sites, with fifteen hundred kilometres between the two shoots and one consistent look across them.
IMPACT
SCEE got a photography library that shows the company the way it wants to be seen by clients and recruits: real people, real sites, work of visible quality. For us the project is Pilbara iron ore and South West lithium inside a single engagement, and it's the quiet answer to the question industrial clients always ask, which is whether a crew can operate on their sites without disrupting operations.
