DDR Australia

ABOUT

DDR Australia is a majority Aboriginal-owned contracting and project management company, partnered with national contractor Duratec, delivering construction, refurbishment and infrastructure projects across the country, from RAAF bases to mine sites. We produced their brand introduction film and photography suite, then built out a 14-video onboarding series used to bring every new starter into the business.

APPROACH

The brand film had to carry two stories in one voice: a serious contractor with defence and mining credentials, and a company whose purpose is creating careers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Neither story works if it feels bolted onto the other, so we let DDR's people carry both, on their sites, in their words. The onboarding series was a different discipline altogether: 14 videos, one consistent format, built to be watched by every hire for years, which meant designing for clarity and repeatability rather than cinema.

IMPACT

DDR got a front door and an engine room from one engagement: a brand film that introduces the company to clients and partners, and an onboarding system that works every time someone new walks in. For us it shows the full span of what a production partner does, from the film a company shows the world to the fourteen nobody outside ever sees, made with the same care.

Let’s create something worth watching.
